Warts that appear on the soles of the feet, in particular, cause pain. Therefore, they must be treated. Warts that appear in the genital area are contagious and are seen in both partners. Therefore, warts that appear in the genital area must also be treated.
Why Do Warts Form?
Warts are a viral disease. A virus called papovavirus causes warts to form. The virus enters the body through the outer layer of the skin, causing cells to multiply irregularly. Thus, warts, which are also considered small and benign tumors, appear. Warts are contagious; therefore, they should be treated as soon as the virus is detected. They can spread from person to person, as well as from one part of the body to another.
